Bommanahalli - (Bangalore - Karnataka - India)

Bommanahalli is located in the Hosur Road, about one kilometer from Silk Board Junction (Towards electronics City). Bommanahalli junction is famous for Traffic Jam in the Hosur Road. Bommanahalli junction has a branch road which leads to Begur. We could see the traffic Jam in this junction by 24/7.

Begur is well developed resedential area and has several apartments, Garment companies and Ceramic Industries. For more information about Begur please visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Begur%2C_Bangalore%2C_India

Traffic Jam in Bommanahalli is not latest news. It has been ages now. But none of the Kannada Politicians or Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is bother about this.

Recently they have started a bridge construction which covers Silk Board to Electronics City, which they have started just before the Bommanahalli junction. They didn't give any relief to this junction. At least they should make a subway or at least a branch from that bridge, something they has to do. I don't know what they are going to do in this junction to reduce the Traffic.

If they are not giving any solution to this junction though this bridge construction, at least they should implement the traffic Signal system which is automated instead placing the Traffic Police. Hence it is huge Junction Traffic Police men can not control the people. Nowadays nobody follows the Traffic Rules in the City.

And one more thing what I am worrying about is the Bus Stop near the Bommanahalli Junction. At least BMTC bus stops couple of minutes in the bus Stop, but the Private buses which runs from Attibelle to KR Market they stops at least 10 minutes in a Bus Stops. A police man does not bother about the private buses.

Let’s wait and see, till the bridge completion. Hopefully they might do some arrangements for this Junction also.

Bangalore Traffic

I travel Electronics city to Bommanahalli everyday to reach my office. The distance between the two places is around 4 to 5 kms. I spend at least half an hour to reach the destination. If I go by bike on day time (without traffic), I can reach the destination within 10 mins.

Today morning there were a huge traffic in HOSA Road, I thought some accident would have happened. In front of my vehicle there were hundreds of vehicles standing on the road. After 10 minutes, somehow I managed to cross that particular HOSA Road junction.

(HOSA Road is a place available on the HOSUR road, next to Electronics City Phase -1 towards Madivala. It has a small junction which leads to Sarjapur. There are two Police men appointed on this signal, to control the traffic.)

After crossing the signal, I happened to see a shocking situation. Next to signal there were no vehicles on the road. Finally I noticed one thing the traffic occurs because of the Private Buses which runs from Attibele to K.R.Market and BMTC brown buses which has a driver who act as driver and as well as Conductor. These two vehicles were blocking the road and were busy in filling their bus seats. Traffic Police man also standing near by that bus, but unfortunately he didn’t try to clear the traffic or regulate the traffic.

The problem because of the “BUS Stop”, either the Bus stop should be inext to the signal (after 100 to 200 meters) or before the Signal (100 to 200 meters). But in HOSA road the Bus Stop is situated exactly in the Signal.

Somebody has to act on this issue and has to take action, either Traffic Police or respective BDA authority.

Share you, another experience in next post.
